We do not look away from the cruelty. We witness it.
Defiance!
We let the grief burn through us; it means our hearts are still alive.
Let the rage breathe; it means our souls are still alive.

Not with flags or fury,
but with the slow, unstoppable force of the living.
We rise to plant, to build, to make beauty where they sowed decay.
We rise to protect what is tender.
We rise to create what cannot be censored
Truth whispered, art that refuses to die.

They want us hollowed.
They want us too tired to care.
They want us to believe that nothing can be done.
But we are not theirs to shape.

I will not become cruel to mirror cruelty.
I will not let despair take root.
I will guard the ember that still burns.
The stubborn light that refuses to go out.

Let them measure their power in fear.
I will measure mine in the quiet courage to keep going.
To keep loving,
to keep seeing.

I will guard the spark, my compassion, my outrage, my art, my voice.
They may own the stage, but I own my actions, my mind, my small corner of light.

Every day I rise and do one thing that says:
